January

January brings low temperatures in the low-’70s and highs in the mid-80′s, along with the cool breezes of the Christmas winds. The nice weather invites you to enjoy some of the local events of January. First and foremost, you won’t want to miss the Crucian Carnival parades. There is both a children’s parade and an adult parade, the latter being the most anticipated event of the Crucian Carnival season. February

February brings average temperatures in the high-70′s and has one of the lowest amounts of monthly rainfall, which makes it a great month for one of the island’s most popular local events: AgriFest. This weekend long festival is a celebration and exhibition of local produce, livestock and handmade products. This a great family event full of exhibits, vendors, food and fun. Around Valentine’s Day Christiansted hosts one of their four annual Jump Ups, so join the celebration and support local shops, vendors, restaurants and bars while you partake in this town-wide party. In March, St. Croix enjoys temperatures ranging from the low-70′s to the mid-80′s, and one of the lowest monthly rainfall averages all year. This makes it a great month for one of the biggest annual events on St. Croix – the St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Spring is a beautiful time of year in St. Croix, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70′s to the mid-80′s in April and less average monthly rainfall than the majority of the year! With an average temperature in the low-80′s, May is a great month for outdoor fitness activities on St. Croix, and the island offers many! The big fitness event on island this month (and the year for that matter) is the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon. The triathlon brings competitors from all over the world to St. Croix, which is the main reason Christiansted holds one of it’s four annual Jump Ups in May. June

June begins a warming trend for St. Croix bringing temperatures into the high-80′s, but the tropical breezes and warm turquoise waters inspire many Caribbean weddings here in June. Graduations and Father’s Day events bring families and friends together to celebrate with beach barbecues or special events offered by the local resorts and restaurants. July

July continues the warm weather with highs in the high-80′s, so many Crucians spend their time in the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean or lounging around the pool. The 4th of July is celebrated on St. Croix with a stunning fireworks display after the sunsets in Frederiksted. August

In August things slow way down in St. Croix. With temperatures sometimes climbing to 90 degrees, you’re time will be best spent limin’ at the beach, floating in the clear Caribbean Sea or in the pool, snorkeling or diving! September on St. Croix can be very warm, with temperatures continuing into the high-80′s, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t fun to be had on the island this month!
