‘They” said this would happen. Once you start, you can’t stop…blogging.
The title of this post was already set up as a test by my employer (fyi- the word EMPLOYER sounds so state-side. Like I work in a big office building with a cafeteria. Nope, my employer is also a very good friend I am just using this word out of necessity). Look at all of those labels I have. Wow. I could add a lot more as well. Did you ever play the game with fortune cookies where you read the fortune and then add “in bed’ to the end? Or was that just in Texas? Looking at all of those labels, I have to add “on St. Croix” to the end. I am all of those people (and more) on St. Croix. This is a big deal to me because I know I would still have all of the labels if I was still living in Texas, but they would mean something different.
Why? Because living on an island changes a person. In November 2007, it will be five years my husband and I have lived on St. Croix. Five fun-filled, exciting, beautiful, educating years.
I rose with the sun this morning to catch up on some work (yesterday I was a painter). This is my favorite time of the day, when I am the only one awake and I get a couple of hours to myself to think and organize my day or week.
The “producer” hat fits nicely this morning. In about an hour, the mom hat will go on, who knows after that.
