•  I have my list ready for Friday night!  Jump Up is not only a fantastic street party with fabulous music, Mocko Jumbies, local food, but also a great time to go SHOPPING; one of my favorite things to do.  The stores of Christiansted offer sales, and just in time for he holiday season.  Official or not, it is no secrete that our economy is in a down fall, and we are all responsible for its demise or rise.  Lets say there is are approximately 50K people on St. Croix.  Lets say 30K of them shopped locally and spent an average of $50 (very do-able).  That would pump 1.5 million into our local economy!  My numbers are low, but I encourage all of you to shop locally this holiday season!

    Art:  D&D Galleryhas a really cool marlin pic for that special fisherman in myyour life.  Oh yes, Ted & Sam have un-framed artwork and photographs of beautiful St. Croix scenery done in a unique, artistic style.  Buy it framed if you want; either way- you get a totally hip piece of artwork for your self or friend/family member that they will no doubt LOVE!  HOT BUYS $20- St. Croix Poster in a tube, ready to roll…already packaged nicely to take back in your suitcase via plane OR cruise ship.  Also, package cards with Ted’s photography…sea horses, crabs, mermaids…who says holiday greeting have to have the jolly ol’ fat man?

    For The Fashionista:  My fav, but my pregnant belly tells me clothes shopping is on hold.  BUT IF I WAS SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES, From The Geckohas some tropical wear that YOU can not pick up at your local manic mall!  Who cares if it is cold where you live, go buy a dress, a shirt, party dress….turn the heat up and make your entire family dress St. Croix style at dinner. (FYI- Always a terrific sale rack outside!)

    For The Good Diver – Dive Experience & SCUBA in Christiansted have a LARGE assortment of every’ting the diver wants to see under their chrsitmas tree (worm).

    Locally made hot sauce- Miss Anna’s (I am ADDICTED to the Mellow Yellow)  Buy a case of your favorite condiment on-line and share the joy with everyone. (FYI- LOVE THE NAME!)

    Cruzan Rum, with a twist: package with local limes purchased at a road side stand (locals only- you are NOT supposed to take back produce…but enjoy for your self while on St. Croix!)
