St. Croix Boat Parade

Make sure your December holiday travel plans to St. Croix include the St. Croix Boat Parade. Each year, this event gets bigger and better. Recent parades have been featured on the Travel Channel as well as in travel, leisure and lifestyle magazines. Boats parade through the Christiansted Harbor while the crowd cheers them on. Prizes are given for best boat and the town of Christiansted comes alive with holiday cheer! The event ends with a sensational fireworks display over the harbor. • The Christiansted Boardwalk begins to fill with parade go-ers around sunset for the best seats.
  • Make way for the Mocko Jumbies who help kick off the evening festivies.
  • Awards are given for Best Sailboat, Best Power Boat (various sizes), Most Innovative and Best Overall.
  • Daddy Owe, a personal pleasure craft, came in 3rd for Power Boats under 30'.
  • Local fishing boats get in on parade action. This was Hi Life's first appearance, but not their last!
  • How fun it is to ride and sleigh....with a Mocko Jumbie made of lights and even Christmas carols coming from the boat.
  • How many people can you fit on a power cat? Lady Jasmyn was decked out in her holiday best with a 15' Christmas Tree and LOTS of Santa's helpers.
  • Lady Jasmyn placed first for Power Boats 30-50'.
  • The large crowd says it all! The St. Croix Boat Parade is just one of those events not to be missed.
  • Aslan stole the show with REAL dancing Mocko Jumbies in the cockpit of the 55' Hatteras.
  • Not to mention, the 500 feet of Christmas lights, lighted reindeer and sleigh suspended mid-air!
  • The lead boat in the 2007 parade was Parrothead, appropiately outfitted with Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer on the bow.
  • Looks like Santa made a quick stop on Perfect Timing- he must of heard how good they have been!
  • The entire evening is just pictureseque in Christiansted.
  • The boats usually do two loops through the harbor while the crowd cheers them on.
  • We can always count on Miss Deborah, a 42' Seray Motor Yacht to light up the harbor. This year: PALM TREES
  • The grande finale of the evening is spectacular fireworks, sponsored by Hovensa.
  • Thanks to everyone who makes this annual event such a succes for St. Croix.
