Buck Island

One of our Must Do Activities on St. Croix, Buck Island Reef National Monument offers a stretch of white sand to walk your cares away and a beautiful marine life filled snorkeling trail to get lost in. Buck Island is accessible by boat only and unless you own your own boat, you must go with a licensed tour operator. Full and half day excursions are available to this private, uninhabited island. Tour operators have food and water available and on the full days, you can even participate in a beach bar-b-que. Let the friendly boat crew or captain give you a refresher course in snorkeling and guide you through the colorful reefs that lie below the eastern shore. Perhaps you'll see turtles, octopus or snapper. On occasion, you can even encounter curious porpoise. To whet your appetite for Buck, just click on the thumbnails below. Enjoy!
