St. Croix Sport Fishing
Sport fishing in the waters that surround St. Croix seems to have made a comeback in the
past few years with several options for off-shore and now in -shore fishing. And why not? The waters
are home to large pelagic fish, which means different fish, different times of the year. What they do
have in common is they put up good fights and are good to eat (if you choose to do so!) Yellow fin tuna,
mahi mahi (also known as dorado or dolphin fish), wahoo, marlin, and sail fish is what you’ll encounter
on an off shore charter. Snapper, tarpon, rooster fish, snook and mackerel are some of the in-shore species.
Captains offer 4, 6 and 8 hour trips and can accommodate special requests if you ask. Can you keep you catch?
Just ask; chances are the captain will fillet you enough for you and your guests to throw on the grill. Or, just make
reservations at the restaurant where the fish is sold and let a professional chef prepare your catch for you.
