St. Patrick's Day Parade

Like most of the world, St. Croix celebrates St. Patrick’s Day by having a huge parade. It is usually held the Saturday closest to St. Patrick’s Day and begins at 11:00am SHARP! Although we do have the traditional Irish theme, we also incorporate a lot of local culture into the parade. Local food and drink vendors line the parade route. The tradition of the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade began in 1969 and has been growing ever since. Each year, prizes are awarded to parade entires with top prize going to Best of the Best. If you plan on watching the parade from the sidelines, arrive early for the best seats and wear lots of green. Don't forget to bring your hat, sunscreen, water and hit the streets of Christiansted for a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day Parade!
