St. Croix International Ironman Triathlon 70.3
This annual triathlon draws the finest array of professional athletes from all over the world. The St. Croix Ironman combines the beauty of the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands with the challenge of an unforgettable course. The St. Croix Ironman consists of a 1.24 mile swim through Christiansted Harbor, a 13.1 mile bike ride though the scenic west end and up the notorious Beast, and a 56 mile run that loops athletes to the east end of the island and back to Christiansted for a total of 70.3 miles of athletic endurance. This race traditionally takes place the first Sunday in May and is a qualifying event for the Ironman that takes place in Hawaii. Please click on the thumbnails below to see images from past events.
