Beach Guide - Dorsch Looking North
St Croix Beaches

Sand Castle Beach is located a half mile south of the Frederiksted Pier and is home to two hotels, Sand Castle on the Beach and Cottages by the Sea. It is a gorgeous long stretch of beach with some structure for snorkeling. Sand Castle Beach has serenely calm waters, perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or snorkeling. Plan to spend the day here, rent some beach chairs and an umbrella for shade and treat yourself to lunch at the beach side restaurant and bar.

For cruise ship passengers, it’s an easy walk from the cruise ship pier.  A day pass is available for cruise ship passengers or those who wish to camp out and enjoy a beach day. You can purchase a day pass from Sand Castle on the Beach for $25, which includes 2 chairs and an umbrella, towels, 2 refreshing glasses of rum punch, and access to the hotel amenities including the beach side freshwater pool, outdoor shower, and restrooms.
