St. Croix native and editor Steve Bennett wrote the island guide, which is divided into four sections and provides historical and current information on culture, food, music and rum. The cookbook was compiled and published by Jane Watkins, a native of St. Croix who handles the media and chef relations for the St. Croix Food & Wine Experience event. She developed the cookbook to promote the chefs, promote the island and support the causes of the St. Croix Food & Wine Experience event.
