With the variety of dining available on St. Croix, it was hard to narrow it down to only ten. We think each restaurant has something unique
to offer and is TOPS in its own right. Click here to see a comprehensive dining guide where can sort by name, location or price. Read our list below to see where you should go and why.
 10. Ivy's Ice Cream & Deli + LaLitas Juice Bar
Ivy's is the best spot in Christiansted to get ice cream, even locally made Armstrong’s flavors like sour sop, pina colada, mango and coconut. We suggest you grab a cone and take a stroll along the boardwalk and enjoy a cool tasty treat in the warm weather. LaLitas, located in the Kalima Center courtyard is the healthy alternative with fresh fruit smoothie blended right before your eyes using local produce. Sit in the serene courtyard and enjoy the peaceful sound of the Kalima fountain while sipping a fresh mango-honey smoothie.
9. Cheeseburgers in America's Paradise + The Shores at Chenay Bay
Hands down the best place to take the entire family, all the kids included, especially on a Friday night. The food is quick, delicious and filling. The kids don’t even have to stay at the table; let them run around in the enclosed outdoor, gravel lot filled with balls and other indestructible items. But, they are certainly not limited to just burgers. Cheeseburgers also serves up daily lunch and dinner specials, burritos, meatloaf, bbq and fish. If you're looking for all-you-can-eat shrimp, then head out to The Shores at Chenay Bay, located just east of Cheeseburgers. Every friday night they host a family friendly fish and shrimp dinner. And they view is not too bad, either.
8. Coconuts on the Beach
Coconuts On The Beach is making a name for itself with its new owner, Grace. They are located in Frederiksted right on the
beach overlooking the sparkling, calm, turquoise soaked west end. They serve cold beer, Cruzan Rum and ice cold water.
Local talents like Kurt Schindler play on a regular basis, and guests dance barefoot on the sandy dance floor. In addition
to all of those great perks they also have a “sun set bar” where you can sit and watch the sun descend into the sea.
Whatever the reason, the view is always beautiful and the atmosphere is always fun. Grace’s Texas hospitality shines through each and every day!
7. Harbor Master Restaurant on Protestant Cay
The Harbor Mater has been serving up the best traditional West Indian style bar-b-que and hosting an entertaining floor show for many a moon now every Tuesday night. The fun begins with the
quick boat ride from the boardwalk to the Cay. Walk along the sidewalk turned sandy path and you’ll find the beach laden with tables and chairs awaiting the evening’s guests.
The West Indian bar-b-que of chicken beef ribs and fry fish (yes, fry, not fried) is served buffet style along with the appropriate side dishes like mac-n-cheese, sweet potato
casserole, conch fritters, johnny cakes and coconut spice rice. The steel pan music begins to play and the fun continues with a glass walker, fire eaters and the show stoppers,
Mocko Jumbies. The buffet is all you can eat and the show is all you can watch!
 6. The Views: Cultured Pelican + The Terrace at The Buccaneer
Nestled in the comfort of Coakley Bay Condominiums, you’ll find The Cultured Pelican and the best dining view of Buck Island. “The Pelican” as it is known, sits at a high vantage point.
Dine for Sunday brunch and watch the boats take their time sailing by. If you can’t make it for the
day-time Buck Island view, make reservations well in advance for their Two For One Entrée deal on Thursday nights- truly one of the best meal deals on island. Just a bit west of the Pelican sits The Terrace, located at The Buccaneer Hotel. The newly designed and decorated Terrace serves an elegant dinner and hosts nightly entertainment. Enjoy the setting sun as the lights of Christiansted turn on. Relax with cocktails as you gaze at the beautiful blue of the Caribbean Sea- on clear days, you can even see our sister islands!
5. Beachside Dining: Beachside Cafe at Sandcastle on the Beach + The Palms Restaurant
This west-end restaurant is our pick for the best full service, intimate dining on the beach. The dining room sits just yards from where the Caribbean Sea meets the sand.
We’ve even seen dolphins jumping out of the water! Every table has a view to die for, so every table is a “good” table. Jazz fills the cool Caribbean night air every Saturday
night from under the gazebo. Entrees and specials are prepared with your health in mind, using freshest ingredients when possible. On the other side of St. Croix, you'll find Chef Brian and Chef Frank preparing scrumptious meals at The Palms Restaurant - beach side dining with Caribbean hospitality.
4. Tutto Bene
Get dressed up and make dinner reservations at Tutto Benne. Tutto has been serving exquisite southern Italian dishes on St. Croix for over 17 years, with three
years in their new, LARGER, air-conditioned location in Gallows Bay. The words “Tutto Bene” mean “Everything Good” and that statement rings true with everything
their kitchen and staff dishes out. Guests have the opportunity to dine at The Chef’s Table where you can watch all the action that takes place in the kitchen
(the only one on St. Croix!). One of the best things about Tutto is they make each person who walks through their doors feel like family all the way until the
last of the Sambucca is gone! Here’s to Health, Wealth and Prosperity, Tutto!
**A new player in the game, Zebo’s, recently opened their doors in a cozy location on Strand Street. Dine outside amongst twinkling lights, enjoy a friendly game of pool inside, sip fine wines at the bar. Zebo’s has become a major player on the Christiansted fine dining scene with-out a set dinner menu, but instead choose freshly prepared dinner specials that change nightly. Get dressed up and get there.
3. Harborside Dining: Rum Runners + Brew Pub + Angry Nates
Rum Runners on the Christiansted Harbor is the best all around deal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are consistent and reliable. They also have the
only live lobster tank on St. Croix, so you can pick your own lobster. Menu items range from local American fare to West Indian influenced dishes. Fresh seafood
dishes are their specialty but you’ll also find beef, chicken and pork selections on their dinner menu. They offer an incredible harbor
view, and nightly tarpon feeding at The Deck Bar if Maggie has any left fish scraps left over from rolling sushi. This was tough, but coming in right behind
RumRunners is Angry Nates, the new kid on the boardwalk who is doing quite well and starts off each Happy Hour with a BANG! And, I can’t leave out The Fort Christian
Brew Pub, where they brew their own beer, have Two-For-Tuesdays and Stake & Ale night, YUM!
2.
Bacchus
Our vote for the best intimate dining spot is Bacchus, located upstairs in a restored Danish town home. The main dining room is elegantly draped in simple white linens
and furnished with dark wood tables and chairs. The lighting is just so; the friendly, professional fine-dining staff anticipates your needs and thinks of everything so
you don’t have to. It is such a welcoming atmosphere, no stranger here! You’ll have just as much fun reading their menu items as you will eating them! Begin with a
Bonzai Burger or SOS (same ol’ squid), move on to Try This Rasta’s Pasta or Veal’n Hungry. Their dessert options are listed right after the appetizers and appropriately
titled “5 Reasons Not To Eat Too Much Bread”. But we think you should indulge in some of their fresh-baked-sourdough bread dipped in their famous love oil
(you’ll just have to ask for yourself).
1. Salud!
1. For the best overall dining experience, head to Salud. Funny, one of the biggest selling points isn’t even their fabulous Spanish & Mediterranean influenced dishes,
but their ample parking! Located in Princess Plaza, their parking lot is cramped nightly with cars, but you’ll feel comfortable, not cramped in the warm and cozy atmosphere
Tavia has created in their spacious dining room. Her background is in the wine industry, so whatever you decide to dine on, allow her to suggest the perfect wine to pair
with your meal. We think you’ll agree that Salud’s staff are friendly and knowledgable; their food is divine and the fine dining experience is one no to be missed on St.
Croix. Oh yes, and they have lots of parking!
