Folklife Festival 2022 – Cultural Workshops
Ten Sleepless Knights has scheduled the 2022 Folklife Festival celebration for June 24th, 25th and 26th, and July 2nd and 3rd. The festival celebrates the U.S. Virgin Islands’ culture, history and traditions influenced by the flags of seven nations.
Saturday, June 25th : Cultural Workshops
- 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. — Storytelling – Under the Tree
- 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. — Moko Jumbies – Stilt walking
- 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. — Cariso singing and drumming
- 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. — Quadrille/Maypole dancing
- 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. — Candy making
- 2 p.m. -5 p.m. — Crucian Cooking – In the Outdoor Kitchen
Sunday, June 26th : Cultural Workshops II
- 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. — Masquerade dancing and mask making
- 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. — Crucian Cooking – In the Outdoor Kitchen
- 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Candy making
- 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. — Quadrille Head-ties
- 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. — Traditional Quelbe and Masquerade Music
- 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. — Basket weaving
