Ridge to Reef Farm Slow Down Dinner
We are pleased to announce the next farm dinner on Saturday, August 24th. The rains have brought in a lot of relief to a dry year and there is a bounty of crops to share. Also, we will have some of our first lamb in a while since hurricane Maria destroyed most of our fencing. Avocados and breadfruits are also making some of their first post-storm returns. Come out to see what the chefs create out of the gifts from this beautiful island.
The evening will include 6 plated courses of farm fresh food, grown, harvested, and prepared with intention and love! Chef Andrew Thaldorf & Sous Daniel Holdsworth will be crafting original dishes of farm-fresh dishes with our huge tomato crop, bell peppers, falling mangoes, field pumpkins, carrots, cucumbers, greens, herbs, fruits of the season, and other special selections from fellow farms across the island. Your donation will support the VI Farm to School program, which has begun its summer nutrition service to youths on St. Croix!
The evening will also feature a live fire dancing performance from our friends Coral Fire!
