Wall 2 Wall Sprint Triathlon & Try-a-Tri
The 18th Annual Wall2Wall Triathlon will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 7am at Cane Bay. The Sprint will include an 800-meter swim, a 13-mile rolling hill bike course and a flat 5K run. The Try-a-Tri will include a 400-meter swim, a 6.5 mile bike and a 1.5 mile run.
The Course:
The swim will begin to the west of the boat ramp on Cane Bay Beach, in knee-deep water. It will be a triangular two-lap, counter-clockwise 800-meter swim. The 14-mile bike will head east to the foot of Rust Op Twist, turn around, head west back through Cane Bay to the foot of the Beast, turnaround and head back to Cane Bay. The Sprint riders will do this course twice. *Please respect the No Pedal Zone when passing the transition area. Runners will be coming and going. (Although cyclists have the right of way, we don’t want any collisions!) The run will head east and turnaround past the bright, salmon-colored house after Rowdy Joe’s, then back to Cane Bay. The “Smith’s Water Station” will be set up at the police substation. For the Try-a-Tri, the swim will be one lap of the swim course. The Try-a-Triers will complete one lap of the bike course described above. The 1.5 mile run will go east to the police substation and back. (Please be sure to listen to the course talk for any race-day changes)
