The wine guide, which smartly pairs wines with tropical dishes, was written by sommelier and restaurant owner Katherine Pugliese, who has lived on St. Croix for more than 20 years and is one of the founders of the St. Croix Food & Wine Experience event. St. Croix native and editor Steve Bennett wrote the island guide, which is divided into four sections and provides historical and current information on culture, food, music and rum. The cookbook was compiled and published by Jane Watkins, a native of St. Croix who handles the media and chef relations for the St. Croix Food & Wine Experience event. She developed the cookbook to promote the chefs, promote the island and support the causes of the St. Croix Food & Wine Experience event.
