Charles Harwood Memorial Hospital is a “clinic” style facility where people can obtain certificates of birth and death, perform lab tests, and a variety of other services that one does not need to go to a full-service hopsital for. Quality Health Care Services! The mission of the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center is to deliver quality health care services to the people of St. Croix. St. Croix’s only hospital provides round-the-clock emergency room care, including advanced cardiac treatment. Some very serious illnesses require an airlift to hospitals in Puerto Rico or the United States mainland. While you can be treated at the emergency room for minor illnesses such as the flu or colds, a better course of action would be to ask your hotel staff whom they recommend as a physician. The hospital holds national accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.
