The St. Croix Sea Turtle Project
The St. Croix Sea Turtle Project at Sandy Point is a non-profit organization working in collaboration with the USFWS, focused on sea turtle research and conservation, and supporting students interested in marine biology! The St. Croix Sea Turtle Project is sponsored by The Ocean Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) organization that aims to support, strengthen, and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world. Their outreach programming, which encourages the public to learn about and become involved with Sea Turtle conservation on St. Croix, includes turtle watches, beach walks, beach cleanups, bird watching and nature hikes, and more, including outreach programs for classrooms in schools island-wide.
