Take a look into St. Croix’s history at this authentic Danish plantation estate museum! Sadly, Estate Whim Museum, suffered extensive damages in 2017’s Hurricane Maria. While you can no longer tour the elegantly furnished great house; you may explore sugar factory ruins, and roam the grounds. Open Wednesday and Saturday from 10am – 3pm, and cruise ship days. Library and archives open by appointment only. Whim Museum offers an authentic view of this Danish sugar estate dating from the 1700’s, and gives a glimpse into the days when sugar was King and rum ruled The Caribbean.
