The annual Beauty and the Beast Triathlon offers a challenge for seasoned athletes and a fun opportunity for newcomers to get in the race.
Choose from the Olympic or Sprint distance, or team up with friends for a relay. The Olympic Triathlon features a 1,500-meter swim, 40K bike and 10K run, while the Sprint includes a 750-meter swim, 20K bike and 5K run.
Cash prizes await top finishers, and all participants can enjoy a great lunch and drinks after the race. Whether competing solo or as a team, there’s a race for you!
EVENT DETAILS
Date and Time:Â The race is held annually in November. The race starts at 7am – registration from 6am and concludes with lunch and drinks post-race.
Course:
- The Swim (1.5 km / approx. 0.93 miles): An open-water ocean swim starting and finishing directly at the beach waters of Cramer’s Park.
- The Bike (45 km / approx. 28 miles): A challenging out-and-back route moving from Cramer’s Park toward Cane Garden and traveling along St. Croix’s scenic South Shore and Southside roads (Route 82, Route 60, and Route 62).
- The Run (10 km / approx. 6.2 miles): A punishing out-and-back run heading east from Cramer’s Park out to Point Udall—the easternmost point of the United States—which serves as the punishing “Beast of the East” climb and turnaround before finishing back at Cramer’s Park.
