ARTfarm is a local vegetable and fruit farm run by Luca & Christina Gasperi, a mom and pop who met in art school in NYC! Together with a small staff they grow a seasonal variety of high quality specialty salad greens, fresh herbs, heirloom tomatoes and melons, as well as tropical fruits and assorted specialty vegetables using only organic and permaculture methods. ARTfarm sells their produce and art, along with a few food items from other island artisanal producers, at their farmstand on South Shore Road (Junction of Routes 62 and 85) at the old Estate Longford cattle pens. Generally, the farmstand is open Wednesdays from 3pm-5:30pm, and Saturdays from 10am-Noon. It’s not the usual farmstand at ARTfarm during the pandemic. We are only accepting pre-sized pre-orders called ‘farmshares,’ plus add-on items, with pre-reserved pickup time slots for a minimum of waiting or mingling during this COVID-19 pandemic.
