History of Java Wraps
From the 1970s through the early 1990s, Java Wraps were a well-loved and instantly recognizable brand of clothing, sarongs and décor created here on St. Croix. These pieces were made from beautiful Indonesian batik fabrics imported by the designer who trademarked the "Java Wraps" brand, Twila Wilson. Twila began Java Wraps as a small shop, but the business grew into a large retail store based on St. Croix and distributing throughout the Caribbean and the U.S. for 20 years. During the last two years of Java Wraps heyday, Twila opened a home store, but Hurricane Hugo came and destroy it all...until now!

Since Java Wraps closed in the mid-90s, Twila has had a thriving interior design business that she runs with her business partner, Kobie. They continue to work with the restoration of some old beautiful structures on the island and Twila's creative eye for design has landed her projects on the cover of Architectural Digest twice, as well as the cover of Coastal Living Magazine. Now, you can tap into this duos impeccable taste in design and décor by shopping their home store, Enso Indigo.
