Dorsch
This beautiful stretch of sandy beach is just south of downtown Frederiksted, past the fish market. Dorsch Beach features soft, white sand and plenty of shade under palm and sea grape trees, making it a great place to relax and spend the day. Dorsch Beach is a favorite with locals on the weekends and holidays, but is generally nice and quiet during the weekdays. With a mostly sandy bottom, there is not much to see while snorkeling except around the small rocky patches. However, the calm waters of the West End are great for swimming and floating. Also, offshore there are several dive sites that can be reached by boat or by shore. With a great view of Frederiksted Pier, Dorsch Beach is also a fantastic location to watch the sunset.
