St. Croix is the land of endless Caribbean summer, making it the perfect place to enjoy an outdoor movie. There are a wide range of movies available, from recent blockbusters to environmental documentaries, many that are suitable for all ages and most are free to attend. So, grab a blanket or lawn chair, pack a snack, and head to one of following local venues to watch a movie under the stars.

Christiansted National Historic Site

The National Park Service is hosting Moonlight Movies at the bandstand on the lawn of Fort Christiansvaern. Movies are held the first and third Fridays of the month, starting at 6:00pm. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and food or snacks. Should there be a rainout the film will show the next day (Saturday).  If Saturday is also rained out the showing will be canceled. Please remember to respect the NPS ‘pack it in, pack it out’ policy and remove all trash that you bring into the park so we can keep our Fort clean and enjoyable for all.

Leatherback Brewing Company

The first Saturday of each month Leatherback Brewing Company shows a movie out on their lawn. Movies start around 6:45pm and food and drinks, including their locally crafted beer, are available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Victoria House Hotel

Victoria House has a great outdoor movie room set up in their secluded Frederiksted courtyard, perfect for small groups and fundraising events. Got a movie night request? Reach out to Victoria House!

Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts

From time to time, Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts (CMCArts) hosts special movie nights in their beautiful Frederiksted courtyard. Often they are visual arts films, especially those films produced by local artists or filmed here on St. Croix.

St. Croix East End Marine Park

Friends of the St. Croix East End Marine Park host outdoor movie nights on their expansive lawn near Great Salt Pond at the St. Croix east End Marine Park Visitor Center. Because of their focus on environmental issues, they often show documentaries that emphasize sustainability and environmental protection, especially those geared towards families and kids.
