Where to Get Your Ice Cream Fix

Whether you are looking for a plain scoop of ice cream, a scratch-made ice cream sandwich, a frozen treat low in sugar, or even vegan ice cream, St. Croix has it all! Even better, enjoy delicious tropical and seasonal flavors you won’t find anywhere else. Don’t worry, you can still get vanilla and chocolate ice cream with sprinkles, but you could also choose soursop, mango, coconut, or gooseberry. Here’s the scoop on some of our favorite stops for ice cream…

Cream & Co.: Located in the historic King Christian Hotel along the Christiansted Boardwalk, Cream & Co. serves up handmade ice cream featuring classic flavors and creative originals. Choose from simple scoops and ice cream cones, to signature milkshakes and tropical ice cream floats. For the more discerning pallets, try their signature crepe sundaes featuring Crucian-inspired ice cream flavors like Peanut Punch and Ginger Lemongrass.

The Landing Beach Bar: If you’re out at Cane Bay on the North Shore, The Landing serves up rotating flavors of delicious locally made ice cream. With classic favorites, and island-inspired flavors, these ice creams and sorbets are created by St. Croix favorite Sorbetiere.

Shupe’s on the Boardwalk: If you are looking for a casual stop at a waterfront bar that happens to offer ice cream, Shupe’s is the place for you. Enjoy a beautiful view of Christiansted Harbor while you cool down with some vanilla soft serve ice cream. There is something for everyone – vanilla soft serve ice cream cones for the kids, and adult milkshakes with your favorite liquor for the grown ups!

The Mill Boardwalk Bar and Brick Oven Pizza: This open air, waterfront pizzeria offers great food and cocktails, but don’t miss out on their signature rum cake ice cream sandwiches. Made from scratch rum cake surrounding cold, refreshing ice cream, what could be more Caribbean? Perhaps the fantastic view of the Caribbean Sea while you enjoy them?!

St. Croix is an island that lives in an eternal state of summer weather…so it’s always a good time for ice cream! Remember, you can’t buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream and that’s kind of the same thing.
