Known as the “Friendliest Dive Shop on Earth,” St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventures (SCUBA) believes it’s what happens above the water that sets a dive experience apart. With two locations in Christiansted and Frederiksted, two custom US Coast Guard-inspected dive boats, and more than 1,000 TripAdvisor reviews, SCUBA makes exploring St. Croix’s underwater world easy and welcoming.
St. Croix is uniquely suited to diving, with walls, reefs, wrecks, and the famous Frederiksted Pier all within reach. SCUBA dives the moored sites along the island’s north and west shores throughout the year.
Founded by longtime island residents Ed and Molly in 1998, SCUBA began as a small Christiansted dive shop. Over the years, it grew to include its own equipment, compressor, rental gear, and dive boat. In 2017, a second full-service location opened in Frederiksted, expanding access to the west shore.
From Christiansted, Reliance explores St. Croix’s walls and reefs, including the island’s extensive living reef system. From Frederiksted, Scuba Dos visits the island’s wrecks, reefs, and renowned Frederiksted Pier. The boat departs directly off the cruise ship pier, making it especially convenient for cruise visitors.
SCUBA also offers Wednesday afternoon one-tank dives at Buck Island National Monument in cooperation with Caribbean Sea Adventures.
Whether you’re discovering scuba for the first time or advancing your skills, SCUBA offers a full range of training, including Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Adventure Diver, Master Scuba Diver, Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response, Emergency Oxygen Provider, PADI specialties, technical courses, and professional courses.
With experienced crews, convenient locations, and access to some of St. Croix’s most distinctive dive sites, SCUBA offers plenty of ways to explore beneath the surface.
