Legendary Time at Captain Morgan Rum Distillery
Ready to have a little fun with the Captain while you are here on St. Croix? Then head over to the Captain Morgan Visitor Center where an exciting trip into the world of Captain Morgan, and his rum distillery, awaits you. The Captain Morgan Visitor Center is a spectacular hour long attraction that immerses visitors in a multi-sensory experience, capturing the Captain’s personality, and bringing his story to life.
Upon entering the Visitor Center, you walk through the interactive exhibit areas offering information about the history of the Caribbean, St. Croix and the USVI, the rum industry, and Captain Henry Morgan himself. This multi-sensory experience will tell you everything you want to know about how Captain Morgan Rum is made.
As many visitors will agree, the real fun begins in the Tasting Tavern! Each adult visitor gets to enjoy one Captain Morgan cocktail of their choosing while relaxing in the pirate-inspired tavern, complete with rum barrel tables and rich red upholstery. To make this experience even better, the Tasting Tavern uses only freshly squeezed juices for their Captain Morgan cocktails, and they offer the only bar on the island stocked with a huge variety of the Captain Morgan rums Diageo has to offer.
Once you have finished your cocktails, head over to the award-winning retail store and do a little shopping. Here you can purchase your souvenirs including hats, t-shirts, beach bags, towels, glassware, and other fun Captain Morgan fare. Most importantly…don’t forget the rum! US citizens can take up to 6 bottles of rum per person back to the US duty-free, as long as at least one bottle is made here in the VI!
The Captain Morgan Visitor Center is currently open* during season (October – May) Monday – Friday from 10am – 3pm, with tours leaving at the top of every hour, and during the off season (June – September) Wednesday–Friday from 10am–3:30pm, with tours at 10am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm. The distillery is also open on Saturdays & Sundays from 10am – 12pm by reservation only. Remember what the Captain says:
