St. Croix Ballroom & Latin Dance Studio is a warm and welcoming dance studio that offers a variety of Ballroom and Latin dance lessons including private lessons, group classes and practice sessions. Dancing is a wonderful avenue for social activity and a lifetime investment in fun. Every dancer will see their dancing differently. Some dancers will see it as a way to socialize, others as a stress reliever or as a form of exercise to get the fitness they desire. Your first Lesson is FREE! The best way to get started is to take our complimentary private lesson. During your demo lesson you will learn the first basic steps that you will need to begin your dance journey and experience how easy and fun we make learning to dance. After the demo, we will go into details about our services, rates and make recommendations based on your interests and goals.

Co-owners and Instructor Garincha & Jennifer Hilaire
Co-owners Garincha & Jennifer Hilaire were the former owners of the beloved Take the Lead Dance Studio, Lansdowne Ballroom & Latin, and West Philly Ballroom & Latin in Philadelphia, PA. They both are accredited teachers and passionate studio owners. The pair’s mission has always been to further the accessibility, joy and value of dancing through their refined and nurturing teaching approach that is specially tailored to meet everyone’s individual learning style and goals.

The teaching staff at SCBLD has been carefully selected for their knowledge and care, and are fully committed to giving students their best learning experience. Serge, Jennifer, Garincha, and Charlie all taught together at West Philly Ballroom and Latin Dance in Philadelphia, which attracted a diverse crowd of warm and wonderful people from all walks of life!
