Dine VI
Each year, the U.S. Virgin Island’s showcases our cuisine and island culture with our own version of Restaurant Week: Dine VI. Enjoy great food, rum and wine tastings, live music, as well as historical tours as St. Croix celebrates our local flavors. This culinary celebration of the cuisine, culture and community of St. Croix features an array of events and dining experiences, in addition to the traditional three-course prix fixe menu offerings found at other Restaurant Weeks.
Dine VI Events
The USVI Department of Tourism is currently planning the events for the next Dine VI, but here is a list of the events that were included in the 2015 inaugural Dine VI:
Friends of James Beard Foundation Benefit Dinner (Thursday, October 20th): The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor America’s diverse culinary heritage through programs that educate and also inspire. The Benefit Dinner will be held at Balter in downtown in Christiansted, dinner will be prepared by Host Chef Digby Stridiron and Guest Chef Jose Enrique.
Food Learn (Thursday, October 27th, from 12:00PM – 2:00PM): The Virgin Islands Good Food Coalition is excited to collaborate with the Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, Department of Agriculture, Landmark Society, Ridge to Reef Farm and other partners on the 2nd Annual Dine VI – FOOD LEARN project. A stellar opportunity to expose youth, teachers and community stakeholders to locally sourced, produce as well as Farm and Food Education. The event is being held at the Estate Whim Museum.
Frederiksted Waterfront Entertainment and Food Truck Festival (Friday, October 28th, from 5:00pm – 11:00pm): Come taste some of the best food truck eats on the island! The Frederiksted Economic Development Association is proud to present “The Food Truck Festival on the Frederiksted Waterfront”, featuring leading Virgin Islands Musical Sensation, Spectrum Band, Tia, DJ Swain, and First Class Sounds. The event is taking place at the Verne I. Richards Veterans Memorial Park at the Frederiksted Waterfront.
Sejah Farms Chef Cookoff (Saturday, October 29th, from 7:00am – 5:00pm): Come participate and see only VI locally grown foods at Sejah Farm Famers’ Market Stand, also featuring local produce prepared by some of the top chefs and local cooks on island. This event is based on the creativity of the participating cooks and chefs. “Bush Cook” chefs may choose to use a coal pot, three stone setting, a hole in the ground or whatever bush style cooking they like.
Reef Responsible Fish Fry (Sunday, October 30th, from 11:00am – 6:00pm): Come and experience a delicious array reef responsible seafood dishes as well as a musical performance by Romanza. See Food Sustainably at Fort Frederik.
Feast Christiansted (Saturday, November 5, from 5:30pm – 10:00pm): A night of entertainment and fine dining experiences in Historic Christiansted, produced in partnership with the Christiansted Restaurant and Retail Association. The streets come alive with strolling musicians, and discount coupons are available for over 30 participating shops and restaurants!

Participating Restaurants
During the Dine VI event, participating restaurants will offer special three-course lunch and dinner. So, taste your way through St. Croix and enjoy a variety of appetizers, entreés, and desserts. Take advantage of this special event to try some new island restaurants, and also return to your favorites. Each participating restaurant will offer amazing prix-fixe menus at a special price of $35 or $49. Here is a list of the participating restaurants for 2016:
