Rainbow Beach is located on the west end of St. Croix. There is plenty of parking available and a restaurant/bar where you can order food and drinks. There is usually live music, and a volleyball net set up on the beach for players. This is the Sunday hang out spot on St. Croix, otherwise referred to as ‘Sunday Funday’. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you may want to try another beach. This beach is a popular destination on cruise ship days as well.
The water does have a rocky bottom in places, so watch where you step. The water is typically calm, so this is a good spot for snorkeling, and paddle boarding, and there are jet ski rentals located here. There isn’t much shade, unless you go up to the restaurant area, so be sure to pack some sunblock and an umbrella if you’re going to want relief from the sun.
Located on Route 63, north of Frederiksted.
Lots of parking is available along the beach and across the street. There is a restaurant and bar with restrooms available to patrons, and a water sports shop offering jet-ski rentals and tours, as well as stand up paddle board, kayak, float, and snorkel gear rentals, and beach chair and umbrella rentals.
