Sand Castle
Sand Castle Beach is actually part of Dorsch Beach, but is known for being home of Sand Castle on the Beach Resort and Cottages by the Sea. It is a gorgeous long stretch of beach with some structure for snorkeling. Sand Castle Beach has serenely calm waters, perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or snorkeling. Plan to spend the day here, rent some beach chairs and an umbrella for shade and treat yourself to lunch at the beach side restaurant and bar.

Enjoy the calm waters of the scenic West End of St. Croix in resort comfort! This beach is very popular with both locals and visitors. For cruise ship passengers, it’s an easy walk or short cab ride from the cruise ship pier.
Day Pass from Sand Castle's
Our passes are sold on a first-come basis beginning at 9am at the resort front office and are limited in number to ensure the enjoyment of all our guests. Admission to the property is $40 per person two years and older. Children under 16 are not permitted in our swimming pools. Your pass includes a drink coupon for the beverage of your choice at our bar or restaurant, lounge chairs, beach umbrellas (based on availability), Wi-Fi, two swimming pools (one clothing-optional), outdoor shower, foot showers, restrooms, and food service on our beautiful beach. Towels are available to rent for $5 and your ship ID as security.
Directions
From Frederiksted, drive south along the water. You will see signs for Sand Castle on the Beach Resort about 1/2 mile south of the Frederiksted Pier. Convenient parking is available at the hotel, or parking is available in the lot across the street.
