Located on the East End of St. Croix, alongside the Tamarind Reef Hotel and Marina, Tamarind Reef Beach affords beautiful views of both Green Cay and Buck Island. This small stretch of well maintained beach boasts rows of towering palms and amenities galore. Tamarind Reef Beach has every possible amenity you could need. Between the hammocks and cabanas for lounging, the great snorkeling just off the beach, and the activities available from the beach shack – you’ll need at least one full day to spend at Tamarind Reef Beach. Parts of the beach can be a little rocky, so watch where you step.
Head east out of Christiansted and follow East End Road. You will see signs for Green Cay Marina and Tamarind Reef Resort. At the Tamarind Reef Resort and Green Cay Marina signs, turn left up a small hill past an unmanned guard shack. Follow this residential road and follow signs for Tamarind Reef Resort and Green Cay Marina. The entrance to both is on the right hand side. Immediately after entering the marina, turn left to continue on to Tamarind Reef. You will see the resort ahead. Parking for the beach is on the right hand side along the water.
Chairs are available for rental for non-hotel guests. Be sure to check with the beach shack attendant.
Aside from ample parking, Tamarind Reef has two restaurants – a casual open-air bar & restaurant just steps off the beach and a fine dining, air-conditioned restaurant and bar overlooking the marina. A beach shack offers snorkeling equipment rentals, kayak rentals, souvenirs for sale, lounge chair rentals, and a friendly face to help you out. A full service marina offering over 150 slips, public restrooms, shower and laundry facilities.
