December on St. Croix
December “cools” down with an average temperature of 78 degrees, and the incoming Christmas Winds bring tropical breezes to the island. Even better, December is a festive month to be on St. Croix! Not only are there many Christmas festivals and celebrations throughout the month, but December also kicks off the Crucian Carnival season. Celebrate the Christmas season at the St. George Village Botanical Garden with Christmas Spoken Here, Gallows Bay Holiday or join in the fun of Crucian Carnival by heading out to enjoy some of the pageants or visit one of the festival villages. If you want to help the community this month, participate in the annual Christmas Bird Count, enjoy some local cuisine at Crucian Fusion, or attend the Holiday Hope Benefit. For those looking for something more active during this cooler month, the International Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay Marathon, as well as the Cane Bay 5 Mile Road Race are held this month.
