March is a great time to be on St. Croix. With beautiful weather and lots of sunshine comes lots of events and things to do, most notably the St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Held in Christiansted, this parade is full of festive floats, live music, dancing and the quintessential mocko jumbies.

You can also enjoy other outdoor events like activities like the Christiansted Vintage and Collectibles Fair, road races and sporting events.

On a cultural note, March 31st is Transfer Day which commemorates the day that the Danish West Indies were formally ceded to the United States by Denmark, thus becoming the US Virgin Islands.
