February on St. Croix

February brings comfortable, drier weather to St. Croix making it the perfect time for St. Croix to host the agricultural festival in the Territory, AgriFest. This weekend long cultural festival is a celebration and exhibition of local produce, livestock and and handmade products attended by visitors and exhibitors from around the Caribbean. February also brings one of Christiansted's four annual Jump Ups, the North Shore's Mardi Croix Parade and the annual Orchid Show at the St. George Village Botanical Garden. You can also continue to enjoy a few of the recurring monthly events such as Art Thursday in Christiansted, and outdoor movies. Find out about all this and more below!

Presumptive dates: Eat and drink your fill at this three-day agriculture and food fair held in February at the Agriculture Grounds. Browse the farmers market to meet growers and learn about their colorful produce.

Shop art, clothing and jewelry, plus feast on local dishes. Kids can enjoy donkey cart rides, carnival attractions and a petting zoo at this celebration of local life.

Past Event 2026 - Thu 12 Pier Clean-up day

Help clean up the land and water surrounding the Frederiksted Pier on Thursday February 12th. This is the 7th Annual Protect Our Pier Land & Underwater Clean-Up in partnership with STAR-Sea Turtle Assistance and Rescue. We're looking for certified divers to help in the water, and anyone else who'd like to help out on land.
**If a military ship is docked, the alternate day is March 4th**

In honor of Black History Month, the St Croix Road Racing Committee will host the 36th annual Toast-To-The-Captain Road Race on Sunday, February 15, at 6am. The 8.4-mile race will start and finish in Christiansted. From Christiansted, runners will head east to Southgate, then to Union Mount Washington, then to Lowry Hill, then to Tide Village, then back to Christiansted.

    Humpback whales migrate along St. Croix during the late winter months. There are also occasional sights of whale sharks and manta rays.

    Black-necked Stilt, Blue-winged Teal, Great Blue Heron, and Northern Waterthrush migrate to the Virgin Islands for the winter months.
