This week`s theme is Sustainable Tourism. Today we are looking at Mutiny Island Vodka.
Mutiny Island Vodka, produced at Sion Farm Distillery on St. Croix, is the world`s first vodka made with breadfruit. Breadfruit trees sequester tons of carbon from the atmosphere, helping to mitigate global warming, and then return it to the ground bettering the soil. Breadfruit is disaster-resistant and resilient, requiring limited care, and the long living breadfruit trees are better for our planet than crops such as corn. The Mutiny brand is endorsed by the Trees That Feed Foundation, which provides aid and support to communities that care for breadfruit around the world.

Bike STX offers eco-friendly electric bikes which allow you to explore historic landmarks, pristine beaches, and lush tropical trails while minimizing your carbon footprint. Bike STX rents G-FORCE e-bikes, a reliable and sustainable transportation option for you to effortlessly navigate the island`s diverse terrain.
Think of this option NOT as a substitute for a car rental, but as a supplement you can use for fun. You can rent a bike for an hour, half or full day, or even multiple days. Each bike rental includes a helmet, charger, bike lock and a map. You can rent directly from the shop in Christiansted (call or book online). You can arrange with Jack (the owner) to have bikes delivered to you and your group. Let`s say you want to explore Frederiksted on a bike for the day, or explore the East End Marine Park, and bike up the big hill to Point Udall (with some assistance from your e-bike). Staying in Christiansted at a hotel or Airbnb? Rent a bike to head out of town to a nearby beach. Coming on a cruise? Arrange a bike rental in advance and it will be there for you when you arrive.
