Coquito Festival
The Coquito Festival is a fun annual celebration held in St. Croix that highlights coquito, a beloved Christmastime beverage. Coquito (meaning “little coconut” in Spanish) is a traditional Puerto Rican holiday beverage the island version of eggnog. This rich, creamy, and spiced drink is a staple during the Christmas season and most often includes rum, making it the perfect holiday beverage for St. Croix.

The Coquito Festival is a proud competition amongst residents of St. Croix to see who makes the best coquito. While traditional coquito is made with dark rum, coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, and cinnamon, you’ll find flavored coquito like pistachio, peppermint, coffee and more! There are prizes for the top three best coquitos, as well as for the best decorated bottle, and attendees get to sample their way through the many booths and shop for their favorites.
