Introducing The Cove Hotel St. Croix
Welcome to your peaceful escape on St. Croix’s scenic North Shore, The Cove Hotel. This boutique hotel offers all-suite, all-ocean-view accommodations overlooking the scenic North Shore — modern comfort wrapped in quiet Caribbean serenity. Located between Salt River and Cane Bay, The Cove, formerly the Arawak Bay Inn at Salt River, has been completely remodeled, rebranded and reimagined while still maintaining it’s stunning Caribbean Sea view and charming “small inn” feel. Just minutes from several popular beaches, restaurants, and water sports, The Cove combines comfort, nature, and a touch of creativity to make your stay unforgettable.
BEFORE (Arawak Bay Inn)

Originally built in 2007 as Arawak Bay Inn at Salt River, the hotel was designed by previous owners Lionel and Jennifer Jackson to have the character of the historic houses in Frederiksted, complete with gingerbread trim and long, breezy balconies.
NOW The Cove Hotel

Subtle updates are noticeable from outside, but set back from North Shore Road most people don’t know what’s inside this hidden gem. The exterior Caribbean style gives way to a tranquil, modern interior that has been carefully curated with elevated finishes and handcrafted details. Please, come inside with us for a closer look.

This is what awaits you inside The Cove Hotel now. The renovations began in 2024 when Martha and Doug Bremer purchased the property, and it continues to amaze with the perfect combination of historic-style Caribbean architecture and modern amenities.
Personal Touches from The Owners

The Cove offers a unique family-owned and operated boutique hotel experience. In 2024, Doug and Martha Bremer took a leap of faith—purchasing the once-forgotten Arawak Bay Inn and reimagining it as The Cove Hotel St. Croix. With their family, they relocated from Minnesota to the north shore of St. Croix and poured heart, vision, and countless hours into transforming the property into a boutique hotel defined by design, authenticity, and purpose.
Their journey in hospitality didn’t start here. Doug and Martha first met in 2002 while working together in a hotel—an origin that sparked both their partnership and a shared love for creating meaningful guest experiences. Two decades later, that foundation continues to guide everything they do. They pride themselves on delivering high-touch hospitality that travelers truly feel — earning 100+ perfect 10/10 reviews in under a year. The couple are also huge supporters of women entrepreneurs, and feature handcrafted decor and art sourced from talented women artists from Bulgaria, California, France, Lithuania, and locally here on the island.
The Cove Hotel St. Croix is more than a boutique stay. It’s a living canvas of our journey: hand-picked details from global female creators, spaces that honor authenticity, and a spirit of purpose woven through every corner. What you see today is the result of love, resilience, and an unshakable belief that beauty and hospitality can be created with our own two hands.
