Notice the larger than life botanicals along the trail, such as this "monkey no-climb" tree. Breathtaking views overlooking Carambola Beach Resort. Black rock beach filled with polished stones.

The trail winds through lush rain-forrest like vegation, with millipedes, hermit crabs and larger than life botanicals and breathtaking glimpses over Carambola and the Caribbean. Then, it opens to waist high grass leading down to the black rock beach. Once the trail opens to the water, go left along the beach, and wind your way around the rocks, where you will then see an amazing, natural formed pool. When the swells are just right, they crash over the rock wall. Please treat the area with respect, as there are no trash recepticles, etc. Bring lots of water.

CAUTION: Sometimes the tide is high and you take a risk winding around the rocks through the water to reach the actual pools. The rock walls that surround the pools are VERY sharp and pointy.

Looking to the east over the tidal pools. Please be careful when climbing the rocky ledges. Cool off in the shallow pools. When the swells are just right - enjoy the waves crashing over the rock wall.
