Annaly Bay Hike/Tidal Pools

This beautiful hike is approximately 2 miles each way. Trail begins at Carambola Beach Resort. The guard will direct you where to park and where the trail begins. Bring lots of water and wear proper shoes as terrain can be rough and/or muddy in some areas.

Hiking through Annaly Bay to the tidal pools is something not to be missed. Please be respectful of our environment and take any trash with you.

The trail winds through lush rainforest like vegation, with millipedes, hermit crabs and larger than life botanicals and breathtaking glimpses over Carambola and the Caribbean. Then, it opens to waist high grass leading down to the black rock beach. The trail at this time can be very difficult to follow, so watch your step or for any markings. Once the trail opens to the water, go left along the beach, and wind your way around the rocks, where you will then see an amazing, natural formed tide pool. When the swells are just right, they crash over the rock wall. Please treat the area with respect, as there are no trash receptacles, etc. Bring lots of water.

CAUTION: Sometimes the tide is high and you take a risk winding around the rocks through the water to reach the actual pools. The rock walls that surround the pools are VERY sharp and pointy.
