St. Croix Christmas Boat Parade
A popular kick off to the holidays and the busy tourist season on St. Croix is our annual Christmas boat parade. The first parade took place in 1994 and has continued to be a way for the boating community of St. Croix to thank the residents and guests of St. Croix for their support of boating and fishing in St. Croix waters.
Over the years, boats have come and gone, but one thing remains true: the holiday spirit that everyone gets into. Businesses who operate boats as well as those who have their own pleasure crafts deck their boats with the most imaginative holiday and tropical décor! Santa and his reindeer, palm trees, lights galore, even appearances by a Harley Davidson and Moko Jumbies dancing on the boardwalk! A large crowd on the boardwalk enjoys the sight of the boats circling through Christiansted Harbor, cheering for their favorites!
Not only is it fun to watch the boats on the water, but the streets of Christiansted are abuzz with open air vendors, shops stay open late and restaurants offer parade specials on food and beverages. Be sure to arrive early as the boardwalk fills up fast!

The St. Croix Boat Parade generally takes place on the second Saturday of December, with the parade kicking off when the sun goes down. Check out our December Calendar of Events for details on this years event.
