2008 St. Croix Boat Parade artwork created by Diane Given-HayesNOW, MORE THAN EVER!
This year, more than ever, the marine and boating community on St. Croix invites residents and tourists to come out and enjoy a unique evening watching beautifully decorated boats sail through the Christiansted Harbor. The Annual St. Croix Boat Parade will take place on Saturday, December 13.

Arrive early to the Christiansted Boardwalk for the best seating! Make plans to enjoy a harbor side dinner and drinks, wander the shops of Christiansted, check out local vendors and enjoy Mocko Jumbies dancing to steel pan music along the boardwalk. The festive activities on the boardwalk begin around 5:30, with the boat parade starting at 6:15.

Photo Provided by Alda AnduzeSail boats, power boats, jet skis, even kayaks “deck the boughs” with holiday adornments. From atop the Hotel Caravelle, the boats are judged by a panel of "St. Croix Celebrities" and of course, by audience cheer. At the end of the event, when all of the boaters have cleared the parade route, the much anticipated GRAND FINALE of fireworks are ablaze in the night sky! Fireworks are sponsored by Hovensa.

Prize categories include Best Sailboat, Best Power Boat 30' & Under, Best Power Boat Over 30'/under 50', Best Power Boat 50' and Over, Most Innovative and Best Overall. The award ceremony will be held immediately following the parade at Deep End Bar, located at Tamarind Reef Hotel and is open to the general public. CLICK HERE TO SEE 2007 Boat Parade Winners

FROM THE ORGANIZERS
St. Croix's annual boat parade has been featured on the Travel Channel, as well as in several notable leisure, lifestyle and marine publications. Every year, dedicated St. Croix boaters organize this event for the St. Croix community and it has become one of the biggest boat parades in the Caribbean. This year, more than ever, we ask that the community of St. Croix come out to support the parade and cheer on the festive vessels as they parade through the harbor.

If you are interested in entering, sponsoring or contributing to this community event, please contact us via email or call Nancy at 340-690-4623.

The boating community of St. Croix produces this annual event as a thank you to the people of St. Croix "for their enjoyment of their beautiful waters in which they fish, boat and sail." The boating community was hit hard this year by Hurricane Omar. Several of the regular participants are not able to be a part of this year’s parade because they lost their boat during the hurricane. Let’s show our support for those who have brought us joy in past parades by coming out in strong numbers to see this year’s event!
