Bush Cook / Chef Cook Week

Each October, Sejah Farm in St. Croix hosts the vibrant Bush Cook / Chef Cook Week, a beloved farm-to-table festival that brings together chefs, farmers, families, and food lovers from across the Virgin Islands. This multi-day event showcases the richness of VI-grown ingredients through cooking competitions, educational workshops, and unforgettable culinary experiences.

It’s more than just food — it’s about culture, sustainability, and connection. Whether you’re a foodie or a curious visitor, Bush Cook / Chef Cook Week is a must-experience celebration of island life.

Highlights include:

  • Community Day: School teams and child chefs compete in friendly cook-offs while guests enjoy demos and farm tours.
  • Bush Cook Competition: Over 20 chefs prepare dishes using traditional methods and fresh local produce, with tastings and live entertainment throughout the day.
  • Farm-to-Table Dinner: A six-course feast crafted by top chefs using ingredients harvested right from the farm — a true taste of the Virgin Islands.
