Mermaid Mixer
The Mermaid Mixer is a women-only, multi-sport event hosted annually in May by the Virgin Islands Triathlon Federation and sponsored by Mutiny Island Vodka. Participants are randomly pairs up in two person teams, one runner and one swimmer. The super-fun format goes like this: each woman participating decides upon registration if they want to swim a 400-meter lap or run two miles. Minutes after race-day registration closes, race coordinators will randomly pull out a name of swimmer and a name of a runner to form a two-person relay team. This gives all you ladies a chance to meet new women here on St. Croix, and have some healthy fun.
After the 400-meter swim and two-mile run are complete, there is a raffle drawing with awesome gifts from local businesses and friends, and, of course, a cup of Mutiny Island Vodka “Mermaid Water” for all. (Must be at least 18 yrs old to participate.)
This is an open event to all the women of St. Croix who can swim 400 meters or run two miles. Participants are encouraged to bring a new friend and introduce the concept of “multisport”. No judgment on speed or style! This is a fun event for everyone!

Cost
Registration takes place on race day at Cane Bay before the event. $10 entry fee includes a mermaid welcome gift, great snacks, “Mermaid Water” and a chance to win some lovely gifts in the post-race raffle.
