Take a look into St. Croix’s history at this authentic Danish plantation estate museum! Sadly, Estate Whim Museum, suffered damages in the 2017 due to Hurricane Maria. The grounds are still available for tours, which offers an authentic view of this Danish sugar estate dating from the 1700’s, and gives an unforgettable glimpse into the days when sugar was King and rum ruled The Caribbean. While you can no longer tour the elegantly furnished great house; you may explore sugar factory ruins, and roam the grounds. Open Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm. Library and archives open by appointment only.
