March on St. Croix
March is a great time to be on St. Croix. With beautiful weather and lots of sunshine comes lots of events and things to do, most notably the St. Patrick's Day Parade! Held in Christiansted, this parade is full of festive floats, live music, dancing and the quintessential mocko jumbies. You can also enjoy other outdoor events like activities like the Christiansted Vintage and Collectibles Fair, road races and sporting events.
March is also VI History Month so expect incredible exhibits, historic tours, and unique experiences. Additionally, March 31st is Transfer Day which commemorates the day that the Danish West Indies were formally ceded to the United States by Denmark, thus becoming the US Virgin Islands. Organized by our local cultural ambassadors, the Ten Sleepless Knights, Folklife Festival 2025 begins with workshops at Whim Museum. Workshops include Quelbe music, Quadrille dance history, tradition VI cooking, Masqueraders' music and mask making, basket weaving, and more.

Head to Leatherback Brewing Company on the first Saturday of each month for a FREE outdoor movie on the lawn. Bring your beach chairs, blankets, friends and family and enjoy a movie under the stars.
