The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy strives to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. Here on St. Croix, the Conservancy monitors the nests of threatened sea turtle species at Jack & Isaac’s Bay Preserve, and throughout the USVI, and uses satellite tracking to learn more about their activity. Restoring coral reefs is another priority, with staff transplanting over 15,000 corals in the USVI and sharing their findings with the wider Caribbean. These activities help strengthen coastal marine ecosystems throughout the VI for the benefit of nature and people. Volunteer or donate today by contacting the local Conservancy office.
