May on St. Croix

With an average temperature in the low-80's, May is a great month for outdoor fitness activities on St. Croix, and the island offers many! From the annual Kite Festival hosted by St. Croix East End Marine Park, to VI Triathlon Federation's Mermaid Mixer, there's outdoor fun to be had for all. You can also enjoy some of the many smaller events held at local restaurants and resorts to celebrate this month's Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day holidays.

Create your our own fish-shaped serving dish. Using a full fish silhouette get creative and come up with your own pattern and design the inside of your tray.

Choose to add details like raised fish tail and fins for dimension. We’ll guide you through selecting and adding a colorful underglazes to your plate. Then we’ll clear-glaze and fire your piece for a glossy finish. You will pick-up your fired piece from the museum (usually within 2 weeks).

Creative Sacred Flow: Movement, Color, & Sound is a multi-sensory workshop designed for women (18+) that will provide intentional self-restoration and a comprehensive nervous system reset.

By integrating the deep resonance of a sound bath, the intuitive release of functional mobility, and the creative expression of tie-dying, participants will reconnect with their bodies, quiet their mind, and celebrate their artistic expression, creativity, and unique identity.

The East End Marine Park cold use some help!

Join this community volunteer day at Estate Great Pond.

The Marine Park staff is small but mighty, however they can use some help with:

  • Trail maintenance (critical for visiting school groups)
  • Buoy art project ( painters & creatives welcomed)
  • Watering & outplanting of native trees
  • Tantan removal

We have some supplies but please feel free to bring:

  • gardening gloves
  • shovels
  • loppers/cutters

Join the St. Croix Hiking Association for a guided hike through Estate Windsor Forest along the "No Woman, No Cry and One Love trails".

    May is part of the off (or slow) tourism season on St. Croix. While St. Croix isn't really a place with big crowds, May is an especially laid-back time on the island.
