Escort a Pet and Help Save a Life! Even if you’re not going to adopt a pet, you can help save a life. It’s easy. If you’re traveling from St. Croix to a participating U.S. destination, you can become a travel partner for a St. Croix animal on his or her way to a home at one of our partner shelters in the U.S. mainland. The pets we send to the U.S. are very much in demand, as many of our partner shelters have a waiting list of families seeking a specific type of dog or cat (that we have too many of). All of the travel coordination is provided by Healing Paws. With enough advance notice from you (at least 10 days), we can make all the arrangements – all you need to do is meet us at the airport on St. Croix before departing, and meet a representative at the airport when you arrive back home. Together we’ll save a pet’s life and get it closer to its new adoptive home!
